London is my adopted home city and is full of amazing cultural, creative and free things to do all year round. It being one of the major fashion capitals lead me to study my degree here, create contacts and be at the center of all buzz. Here’s me listing my favourite things on now in my favourite capital!
Design My Night’s Christmas Drinks Top 5 Picks
DesignMyNight, love a festive tipple or two, so they put together their top 5 picks for a seasonal drink this year.
Winter Tinyland @ Upper West, Chelsea
We’ve all heard of festive juggernauts Winter Wonderland, but have you heard of Winter Tinyland? This cutesy Christmas pop up is located on Upper West’s outside terrace which not only features mistletoe, candles and fairy lights, but also mulled wine, hot dog stalls and hot chocolate brandy! Merry Christmas indeed.
The Blind Pig @ The Social Eating House, Soho
Hidden away above the Social Eating House in Soho, The Blind Pig is a secret bar boasting an NYC styled interior and delicious drinks. This Christmas, you can experience the true beauty of ‘The Nutcracker’ cocktail; a concoction made up of Baileys, walnut infused whiskey and hazelnut & almond milk. Heaven in a glass? Maybe.
Golden Bee, Shoreditch
A rooftop bar? In the winter? You betcha. Decked out with a fire pit, heaters and more fairy lights than Lapland, classy little bar Golden Bee in Shoreditch is a favourite for late night drinking whatever the weather. Head here this Christmas for a cheeky drink or two…
Simmons, Camden and King’s Cross
Purveyors of kitsch, Simmons London, are putting on their festive best across both of their twee venues this year to bring their guests a tasty little time this Christmas. Sharing teapot cocktails, mulled wine and seasonal goodness is on the cards; so wrap up in your cosiest knitwear and head on down to one of London’s prettiest venues.
The Folly, Liverpool Street
With a whole host of festive cocktails on their menu, if you really want to get into the spirit of things, head to ‘London’s secret garden’ aka, The Folly. “Santa’s Milk and Cookies” or perhaps a “Fig Old Fashioned”? Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, it doesn’t matter to The Folly, they’ll still serve you their delicious drinks, so don’t miss out.
