Monochrome

I know right – Black & white, who would have ever thought I could muster styling myself in such a modest palette and in such a minimal manner? Truth is, whilst I adore my colours and always end up dressing eclectically, I’ve always been really drawn to black and white outfits in unusual textures. I adore this monochrome leather edit we did at work and can’t get enough of that sophisticated street style. Sometimes it’s fun to pretend to be someone else for a bit, and where better to do this than on a trip to Pareee darling?!

I grabbed this mens sweatshirt in the sale at work – very excited by the touch of perforated leather-look material on the shoulder! I amputated the skirt from it’s long-sleeved midi-dress self to form a matching crop top and skirt set. Lastly, to fit the vision, I picked up the daintiest gold jewellery I own – a teeny little palm tree necklace from luxe jewellery store Flor Amazonia and silver midi ring that I picked up in La Boutique de Louise – a Parisian boutique for just €15.

Favourite

Kristabel and I shot these outfit pictures just round the corner from La Favourite where we enjoyed an Eggs Benedict brunch on the second day of our latest Parisian adventure. Isn’t that old wooden door beautiful, oh, and isn’t the waiter too? As we finished up, we spotted Miss Peony Lim skip across the road and into a small store. Following her in with curiosity, we discovered what I’m sure will be the next big amuse-bouche trend; jewel-like eclairs from L’Éclair de génie. Just as magnificent to taste as to look at! Oh, and if you’re wondering about that liquid lipstick – it’s just incredible – grab it from Sephora next time you’re in Paris!

The shot of the band is perfect, you caught those musical fellas well. It looks like a tricky outfit that one but it works on you pretty well. Might have been different if you were shorter but you’re not so it’s ok!

I’ve debated for ages on whether to get them shoes, until it was too late! 🙁 They look great! And, don’t know why exactly, but I’m hungry all of the sudden! :))

It is so unfair that you look equally good in monochrome as you do in colour, I’m very jealous!

I need those eclairs so much, I don’t think I appreciated them enough when we were there! I should have got the salted caramel as well!
(Notice how most of my comments revolve around food, nice glasses too)!

It’s so strange to see you in something monochrome. You look lovely though and the shoes are fantastic!

Well, you look as beautiful in monochrome as you do in a riot of colour. I love the clashing textures!
