JB’s Diner and the Lanes

I think I need to be slapped in the face a little more often these days. It’s so easy to settle into a rhythm of life, or in my case, spend every week getting through and working out what on earth I’m attempting to do with my career/life. One such jolt to the system/slap in the face was a trip down to Brighton with my galpals – a perfect day out to mix things up a bit and get some healthy sea air!

It was a lovely day doing things that Blogging girls love doing best (funny how my online life has actually merged into my real life!) we visited JB’s diner for lunch, snapped each other/food, ambled down the pier, took photos, ventured into the lanes, took photos and then finally managed to see the much anticipated Biba and Beyond: the Barbara Hulanicki exhibition at the Brighton Museum where, unsurprisingly, we took lots of photos! (Post to come on that soon!)

I chose a 90’s children’s get-up as my costume for the day! I’m very pleased to be able to show you my fave new jeans – the PERFECT high waisted pair for a couple of squid in my local chazza shop! AND my white Office shoes, bought in the end of summer sale. (£10!! And these have to be next.) I just had to get to inject a bit of Niotillfem in my life!

How do ‘mom jeans’ look so amazing on you?! I literally look like a stuck-in-the-90s mother in them! *Seethes quietly* 😉

haha thank you Becky! The truth is, when I wear them, me and my housemate call me 80’s DIY mum because just like you, that’s how I rock them haha!

well you might already know that brighton is one of my fav places that i’ve been to in england, me and hollie went there for 4 days at the start of october. but luckily my best mate lived there for years so i’ve been several times. if you go again i’d recommend jamie’s breakfast place in between brighton and hove, opposite burt’s homeware store, you can’t miss it. orea and banana milkshake, whoa there, that sounds blooming amazing. never heard of that before, i had a banana and peanut butter and a cafe around the corner from beyond retro. back of the net! thumbs up for the fit of the jeans, nice find.

Ah i love ambling around the brighton lanes, it’s my hometown but feel so far away now up in leeds! JB’s diner used to be my regular weekend splurge – so jealous you got to go! Love the jeans on you, such a good find. Sounds like you had a lovely time 🙂 ox
