What would you wear in Southern Spain? A palm tree print pair of shorts and a straw hat perhaps? How about to Morocco, Paris or Provence? If you’re like me, you’ll end up packing your suitcase full of pieces that remind you of the place, be it something that you think the locals might wear or a brand that originates there. Send me to Sweden and I’ll try and rock my most edgy outfit a la Stockholm Street Style.
The Travel Issue
I’ve created a new guide over on Myzine, a magazine style blogging platform where I’ve featured my top 5 outfits in my favourite places I visited last year. You can shop the looks and find out where to stay, what to do and most importantly, ideas of how to dress the part when you’re there!
Please do pop over and ‘like’ my Travel Issue Myzine (just click the Facebook like button) if you think it’s cool and I might just win a prize for producing the best one the launch of their website! Big fat Shiny thanks from me!
The Spanish Seaside
My little mini break to Andalusia in southern Spain last month may have been my 4th time in the region but I still hadn’t ticked off visiting the quintessentially Spanish coastal town of San José. (cue singing the Dionne Warwick song in your head…) I couldn’t wait to wander around the cute cacti-lined paths and catch glimpses of the sea between quaint white houses.
Luckily, after a long drive down the mountains and through the endless Cabo de Gata nature reserve, those dreamy sights were just what we got. After cooing over a cute old doggy and stopping at every front door dreaming of owning my own sugar cube house, the sky opened and down plopped the rain.
Before we had time to run away, an astonishing flood of orange light spread over the mountains ahead and two rainbows appeared over the sea – absolutely jaw-danglingly beautiful! San José gives you more than you ask for, it’s a pretty enchanting place!

Have you been to Andalusia? If you’re planning a trip to Southern Spain then take a look at what else I wore on holiday.
So I popped to Spain the other week. You know, a quick 3 day jaunt in-out-done. I realised that may as well have gone on a trip to the other side of London when my best friends commented on my palm tree instagrams with ‘oh this is where she is!’ and ‘Spain what?!’ Oops.
My Dad, Brother and I managed to pack in a productive schedule despite the short number of hours that our feet were on Andalusian soil for. On the first evening, I managed to just about catch the last of the sun as it sunk below the goats in the grasses. What a luxury to have been able to wear but a little pair of shorts and sheer blouse – Spring, make way for Summer!
