Pinned it, Made it!
Do you have a DIY board on Pinterest? You know that one that you occasionally throw a super inspiring photo into. You fill it with passion and excitement, telling yourself that you could ‘totally make that’! Yeah?
I have said board but hold up my hand and i admit that I’ve almost never attempted to make anything from it, as much as I’d love to! That’s not to say I’m not a creative or crafty person, after all I do make scrunchies! Lucky then, that an inspiring kick up the backside in the form of Pinned it, Made it Pinterest Parties are popping up around London every month!
I went along to Decembers party at the awesome Book Club in Shoreditch where I was promised a jam-packed schedule of DIY wrapping paper and decorations with all materials and bunch of friendly tutors included. It truly was a ball, so relaxed that you could be making things in your own living room!
So grab your silliest friends and head along to the next Pinned it, Made it party where you can take home something you made and maybe you can tick it off your Pinterest board for good!
The next Pinned it, Made it is on the 14th and it’s a winter skincare special with natural cosmetics gods Lush! See all the parties here, have fun DIYing!
Get Your Skates On!
EDIT: THIS IS OPEN FOR ONE MORE DAY TOMORROW FOR FREE!
literally! There’s only one night left to hang out at the pop up Roller Disco in London’s Kings Cross so if you’re in town and don’t have plans this evening – make this your port of call! Tucked away down the right side of the stunning new Central Saint Martins university, the gold chain curtained rink stands ready and waiting to welcome you on to it’s shiny floor, and boy could I not wait to get on it!
Because the site is relatively small and semi-outside, it’s really easy to skate in and walk out again. But if you’re like Carrie, Dunya, Alex, Holly and I then you’d be crazy not to spend the whole evening chilling out, munching on the best burgers and ‘tasting’ your way through the little cocktail menu at the dedicated Disco Bistro that overlooks the rink.
This is my kind of place to hang out. And it seemed to be so for teenage parties, work events and dates too. Diverse groups all had a go at the balancing act on wheels, glugging down beers, making conga lines and occasionally plonking down on their bums. I was pretty proud that all of us managed to stay upright and I even managed to style out any wobbles with a dramatic stroke of the hair as my arm flung upwards with any major wobbles – that’s the way to do it folks, go own that rink!

See us in motion in my little Instagram video taken on the night! Keep up to date with the pop up roller disco on their Facebook Page or Twitter where they’ve just announced another FREE day of skating tomorrow plus a disco in the evening – have fun! Have you ever tried roller skating?! I was scared that it would be way harder than blading but I was pleasantly surprised!
