A very happy Hen do!
For my first ever Hen do, this was setting the bar high. Carrie‘s #WishWishHen didn’t involve a drop of alcohol nor any remotely phallic shaped object, nope this was a 2-night girly sleepover as best it could be and we LOVED IT!
Apart from a trip to Disney and the presence of great pals, what made the trip was our pad. Let me fill you in on Sweet Inn! Just in the same way as you would hunt for that perfectly styled Air bnb, Sweet Inn have beautiful apartments across the world (and they’re expanding fast!) for you to pick from to make your city stay feel like home. The difference? It’s run like a hotel so you’re not intruding on someone else’s home but with such a charming welcome at the Sweet Inn offices beforehand, it feels like your mate is giving you the keys to their (very well decorated) house.
Towels and the like are all included and you can come and go as you please. Ponthieu I, where we stayed was located just off the Champs-Elysées, right at the top of a traditional apartment building which meant, BALCONY! Hello *that* Parisian rooftop view. There’s nowhere more ideal for Hen parties. For a place that slept 8 (we were 7), it was sure roomy (think running down corridors and getting lost) and had ample space and technology to turn it into a proper party.
What did we do in the apartment? We were pretty much total girls, and it was great. There was blowing and throwing balloons, waking up early to fetch surprise breakfast from the local Boulangerie and laughing ’till we fell asleep in bed. In true Hen do style, I created a ‘Carrie Cuiz’, a series of ridiculous questions on personalised clipboards all about the girl I know best. Congrats Kristabel and Dunya for getting the most answers right!
Looking to party in Paris? I’d advocate spending a few days here if only just to have a bit of well earned fun. See what I wore in Paris right here and stay tuned for our equally sugary excursion to Disneyland!
Thanks to Sweet Inn for welcoming us to their beautiful apartment!
Stay at Ponthieu I for around £155/night/per person.
