Colourful Style : What to Wear in Country Gardens

Because we always find ourselves in the situation where we’re visiting a country garden with our girlfriends but don’t know which dress to wear, right? Ok maybe not, but on the rare occasion where you want to look the part amongst the giant daisies and prim box hedges, it’s good to have a dress or two handy. Whether you’ve read a lot of my outfit posts or have just landed on ShinyThoughts (cooey!) then you can probably tell that I don’t really do plain ‘pretty’, so my take on the English flower bed comes with a kick. Quite literally in the form of trainers (do I really wear anything else?!) and some pretty neat ones at that!

Welcome the Flyknit Lunar 2 to my ever expanding Nike hoard. They feel so light, so airy and, as I’ve been describing to anyone who expresses interest, like you’re clutching your foot with a soft hand. That’s how snug they are. Worn with a bit of bling, this floral dress and super bright jacket/duster coat/cardigan thing that I picked up in the blink of an eye in New Look that morning, (best purchase of the month award!) I had myself a bright and sporty answer to Somerset secret garden style!

See what other colourful outfit I wore last time I visited The Kilver Court gardens, and stay tuned to read about what made me and these pretty ladies come down to Somerset for!
