Call It Spring Boots
This month in the Take10 challenge, the girls and I took on footwear, this time from kooky Canadian shoe brand Call it Spring (do you remember when I wore a pair of their silver Schapp heels?) I do love styling up a pair of shoes as there’s so much opportunity to play with the rest of your outfit and actually, I do often find myself working from the shoes up anyway. Do you ever dress that way? I’ve been looking for a nice pair of cut-out boots ever since they first hit the internet last year but I never quite got round to it. These Kranze ankle boots certainly do the job of being both a comfy heeled every-day boot and an unusual going-out heel. Win!
This slightly oriental outfit was inspired by a shot in last months ASOS magazine which featured Australian street style sweetheart Rachel Rutt sporting a t-shirt with chinese sportswear symbols worn with layered necklaces and baggy trousers. My get-up certainly doesn’t work as well as hers but at least I could make use of an old Superdry t-shirt and useless sized bag that I otherwise both have gotten rid of!
In hind-sight I would have been better off rolling the T-shirt up and knotting it at the waist. Darn it. The boots at least go with the leather jacket and help grunge the lace maxi dress all up a little. I may have got the outfit a little wrong, but at least I’m happy with the footwear!
And here’s what the others wore:
