Hanging out in South
Sometimes you just have to go somewhere new at the weekend and chill out with a friend. If you just so happen to have a camera with you to capture said cool, new place that you’ve discovered then bonus! This happened a couple of weeks ago on one of my sessions of crashing at Kristabel’s house in south London. With a spare Sunday to blog and chat, we bus-hopped up to the neighbouring Crystal Palace to suss out the newly regenerated restaurants and cafes. After spotting a flyer for half price burgers at the newly opened Crystal Palace Market on her doorstep, we were sold and sought out the new cafe-cum-restaurant-cum-hang-out armed with laptops and cameras to catch up on work.
We loved it! Not only was the owner incredibly friendly, chatty and accommodating (we must have stayed there 3 hours!) but the burgers were fantastically tasty (blue cheese all the way) and that was before trying one of many cocktails whipped up by our new mate James, a top mixologist from South Africa. (Nb, it may have only been 1pm…) In short, it’s worth taking the overground to CP just for Crystal Palace Market and a gander around the park, afterall, South London is the new East!
