Design Your Own T-shirt!

YrStore is a seriously cool and surprisingly accessible popup ‘live all-over garment printing store’ in the hip bit of east London. I don’t know how I didn’t hear about it earlier because something this fun, quick, easy and cheap deserves being screamed about from the top of Cottons rhum shack on the top floor of boxpark!

I’m sure you’ve experimented with iron on transfer paper when you were younger (remember getting text come out funny because you forgot to mirror the design?!) Well there’s none of that worry here because all you have to do is have a play on a fun screen with a huge library of kitsch designs and crazy never-ending editing capabilities and then the YrStore boys and their huge heat press do the rest. you can see more about how YrStore print and their numerous exciting collaborations on their website!

Campus Party

Luckily I got the chance to try it out for myself and make my very own ridiculous Shiny Thoughts T-shirt thanks to O2 Campus Party; a 24 hour, week long techie dream of a festival. It’s the biggest entertainment technology event in the world where workshops, debates, demos and talks teach you all about what’s new in tech and science. I’m going to go try catch a talk on photography or design, come on down to the O2 between 2-7th September if you want to catch it too! Get your tix here!
