Camden Lock Night Market
Hey, I’m back in Camden again! I clearly couldn’t keep away since the last time I was here (as I mentioned before, it’s so easy to walk up to from work) so when I heard about Thursday late night market evenings, there was my post-Pilates night out sorted!
Like Camden Lock Live, Night Market features the ping-pongathon, live music in the form of Samba spiced, laid back classics and tunes with a groove thanks to the bassist and bongos player, that you just can’t help but head-slide along to! Then there’s the good old Sailor Jerrys cocktail trail which adds a little interest into cocktail collecting by encouraging you to try different drinks in different places in the small square. The Hendricks gin cocktail in Hola Paella was our winner!
All the usual amazing food stalls are booming till late, we discovered new retro lingerie shop What Every Girl Wants and then there’s the Backyard Cinema showing films outside from Die Hard to unknown indie films.
…And obey the Brownie Guide Law.
What do you think of my outfit of choice for the evening? Were you ever a Brownie? I loved being one! Collecting the badges, learning new skills, eating squid for the first time, never quite understanding the rules of rounders despite having it shouted at me about once a month. Aah…
Once my eyes chanced upon the vest on Terrible Movement, nostalgia took hold and eagerly gave it a place in my wardrobe. Ok so I don’t encourage real Brownies to slit the sides of their uniform but I’m all for a bit of matchy-matchy with the bottom half!
Thank you Kristabel for all the photos!
