Castillo de Montjuic
Hola! Welcome to Barcelona – have you been here before? It seemed to me one of those mythical places full of weird and wonderful buildings and street furniture, a land made up of curved lines and mosaics. I wasn’t far off, Barcelona is a little like an adult adventure park with lots of substantial awe-inspiring things to do that make for a jam packed mini break.
Last month my friend Cait and I packed up our little suitcases and headed out for Spain to see the fabled place for ourselves. Thank my Crema Catalana that Cait could speak Spanish and journey-plan like a no other too, without her whacking out her guide book and listing the activities we could choose from each day, I don’t know what I would have done!
We packed lots into our weekend including taking a cable car up to the Catstillo de Montjuic castle, dosing up on art at the Miro Museum and stumbling across the best bars on one of our many evening rambles around Las Ramblas and El Born. What I loved the most though was ambling down streets spotting the most impressive building facades, many of which are highly ornate. I’ve lots more to show you but here’s a little of what we saw!
