Beer, Surfing and a Stroll in the Park

It’s part 3 of  my mega-installments of Munichness, and this time it’s all about the parts of the city you must do from grabbing a must-have litre sized beer and sausages in the famous Hofbrauhaus, to watching the nutters in wetsuits surfing a manmade wave on the river Isar.

Whilst in the ‘English Garden’ where the river meanders calmly (albiet near said wave) and the German ducks come up to ask you for food, I threw some shapes in my comfy, grungey outfit whilst the other girls (Fadela, Celine and Carrie) took group selfies on the bench. The sun slowly dipped behind the tree-lined paths but the decreasing temperatures and light seemed not to bother the sets of boules players gathered along them. It was all very romantic as we ambled back to the hotel to change for dinner.

Chin Chin!

Now dinner was an experience – a rather messy one at that! Stylight treated us to Vietnamese make-your-own Lau at Charlies, a sort of communal hot pot stew experience whereby you cook your own meats, fish and veg like Pak Choi in boiling basins and then wrap them up in a sticky rice pancake… thing! Polaroids were taken and lolled over, as were the results of our attempted Laus… you can see us get stuck in over in Carries Vine video!

See what else we got up to in Munich from visiting Stylight’s pretty cool offices  and taking a look at the city of Munich and all it’s beautiful buildings. I definitely recommend giving the city a visit for a day or two!

You look awesome in red! Also – so you basically had what us Chinese call ‘hot pot’ – the Viet version looks yum too!
