Willkommen in München!

If you’re considering a break to Germany any time soon, I’d advise heading straight to Munich where the cleanliness of the streets, openess of the city centre and air of affluence will brighten your spirits and add a little lightness to your step! I was lucky enough to experience the beautiful southern city thanks to Stylight (whom I’ll tell you all about in a future post!) and with a little help from bestie Carrie, two delightful French Bloggesses Celine and Fadela, and Stylights hugely helpful hand drawn map of key Blogger-friendly places to visit, we had a jolly good time experiencing a new European city. Yay!

I really was stoked with Munich, from the shops selling traditional Bavarian attire, to the hoards of people out drinking beer in the streets when it was freezing cold – there were lots of fun surprises to encounter in a relatively small city. I really appreciated the care and pride taken in the town, which was noticeable by the streets of newly pastel rendered facades and refreshing lack of stress and bustle in the air.

The 4 of us girls and our part-time guide Marine were so happy to be able to wander around, meandering inside the famous double spired Frauenkirche church and popping into the odd cool, arty boutique. Whilst we loved watching and taking part in some true Munchen traditions, we were also guilty of experiencing some home comforts; lunch at the very British tea-room feeling Lotti’s, cupcake nibbling and shopping H&M. Minus points!

I’m sure Munich a wonderful place to live and certainly somewhere I’d love to visit again, have you been? I’ve definitely come home with a cheeky little Bug who’s got me looking at Groupon every week to see what new places I can visit next and tick off my wishlist! More about what we got up to and what we wore in my next posts!

MUNICH MUNICH MUNICH! I found the area of Berlin I stayed in very much like East London, really grimey. Buut it did have some great exhibitions and gigs, saw a Richard Avedon expo and saw Pendulum play, so I guess there are probably more fun activities in Berlin 😉 xx
