Cool Story Bro!
Just as I headed out with my trusty photographer/best friend Carrie to shoot these snaps, I stopped and thought “nah, I’m not struggling down the street in these heels, I’ll go there in flats!” Oh the falsities of Blogger life; tricking our readers into thinking that we would ACTUALLY ever bother with the pain and effort of wearing heels with our outfits! “Oh, these, I’d wear them every day!” Yeah right.
Naturally, as we quickly got into the swing of taking photos and concentrating on dodging cars in the background, I forgot to change footwear. So the Primark flats that I once wore when competing for the British Cheerleading Championships, stayed on my feet whilst I dangled the Topshop ornaments – sorry shoes.
“So, um, what’s the story here? Because you’ve got two pairs of shoes.” Carrie pointed out.
“Uhm, it’s my coming back from the party-last-night look, where I could wear either pairs of shoes and it would still go, it’s like I don’t care… it kind of works…”
“Cool story.” hmm.
Leather look Jacket – Krisp Clothing / T-shirt – Limited Edition Mercy & Wild for dyslexic charity / Blouse and Headband- New Look / Necklace – ASOS / Silver heels – Topshop / 3-part Bolt ring – Cos / Dotted socks – Kate Spade
Anyway, the ACTUAL story of this post is that I’ve finally got a ‘leather’ jacket! Whoop! And it’s just perfect. I’d not bothered getting one before because of the cost and that when you pay less it usually looks cheap. Then there’s the conundrum of which bloody shape and style to choose. I adore this one which was kindly sent to me from Krisp Clothing. (Remember the brand from, like, school?!) I love the cropped fit, long sleeves and the strap details and now wear it with everything like this beautifully illustrated charity T from Mercy & Wild! (All you veteran leather jacket wearers going “yeah yeah, it goes with everything, we know!”)
New closet staple sorted! p.s I went for a size smaller in this for a nice, fitted cling.

Haha, I love the story. I always feel like sometimes, if I actually wore the heels some bloggers post about, I’d be dead one hour after putting them on. I mean, I live in Lisbon, ALL our pavements are made of cobblestones – so you know how hard it is to wear heels in here..
I love your tee and your jacket!
Haha oh god, it’s like London Fashion Week (cobbles) but in your whole life – that must be so annoying!! x
“Uhm, it’s my coming back from the party-last-night look, where I could wear either pairs of shoes and it would still go, it’s like I don’t care… it kind of works…”
erm, so the walk of shame basically!! :S
Pretty much! Except there’s no shame here!
Lucy, your beehive looks so perfect!

These photos are so gorgeous! I never, ever wear heels in real life so if you ever catch me wearing them on my blog, you know it’s a camera-only deal!

OMG you rock chick.
maaaaan everything about this is perfect.
and yeah, AMAZING jacket!
I’m a new follower, oh yeah.
Oh my goodness, try as I might I cannot walk in heels to save my life! Glad you found your jacket, I’ve got one but it’s not The One, so hoping to replace it soon.
Cannot walk in heels taller than a couple of inches. I am a rubbish girl. Totally on message with two pairs of shoes, some shoes are NOT made for walking!
The jacket is divine – the buckles at the cuffs are placed just right and there is enough studding without being overkill – love your taste
Jem xXx
Leather jackets are my life! I’m glad you’ve finally got one.
there’s actually a Krisp that’s opened up in my town, I might go and check it out! x
