Colour Popping at the Southbank!
Just a little look back to the fun and madness of the Olympics here in London! These snaps were taken two weeks ago when my lovely cousin Lorene was over. We became true tourists and got up to things that remind me that I live in London – things I really must do more of!
We sauntered along Southbank, stopping in the Royal Festival Hall to catch the women’s artistic gymnastics before playing about on these huge Olympics logo-esque shapes that colourfully clutter up the riverside at the moment. We watched young men trying to somersault up trees and funny performers do handstands and play instruments off the side of a truck outside the National Theatre. Must be some sort of energy in the air! We then spotted the South African Olympic base and popped inside to enjoy their craft exhibition which displayed the impressive skills of native artists. I found the fun visual merchandising charming – how everyday objects like egg cartons can make cool sets!
Orange neon blouse and grey marl vest – New Look / Hoodie – H&M / Necklace – Topshop / Backpack – Lazy Oaf / Platform trainers – ASOS
I wore a suitable sporty outfit combining my New Look neon blouse with an equally eye popping strip on the top of my hockey style socks. Are you suffering from a Games come-down too?! I’m sad it’s all over!
