Welcome to Hope Cove!

My 7 lovely girlfriends, a sweet bunch of ladies from a group who I’ve kept in contact with since school, are gossiping about folks from back home, slurping down Rattler and discussing our ensuing rainy cliff ramble. I’m sat here rinsing the wifi in the cute Hope and Anchor pub/fish and chip restaurant trying not to think of all the oil and salt I’ve just consumed, whilst compiling a blog post of snaps taken over the last 3 days. We’ve all been staying down here in Hope Cove in Devon, a sweet coastal village with lots of routes to walk on and the location of our perfect little cottages! Hopefully you’ll get to see them soon! They’re perfectly light, airy and social (particularly considering there’s no TV, mobile phone signal or internet!) – just right for us girls.

After spending a day and a half in a sunny holiday daze, down came the drips. (Come on, it’s the West Country!) We decided to take a little amble around the city of Exeter where we picked up the 8th girl, Alex, from her university town. I hadn’t been there before but now I can tell you that it has the prettiest, most impressive and apparently the second largest Weatherspoons in England – yay! My tip is to go down to the river and explore the independent craft shops, I really wanted these bracelets – they were only about £4 each! I must go back so let me know your recommendations!

Oh my goodness, I had THE best scones in the world in a posh looking hotel in South Sands near Salcombe, just a walk away from Hope Cove and it was the best cream tea I have ever ever had! You must go!
