From my mind – Into my hands!
I must admit, I’m a very lucky girl. Not only did I get kindly taken to the Tusting British leather bag factory in the beautiful English countryside a few months ago, but I also got my own personalised bag made in that very factory too! It arrived just the other day from Bedford and I thought I had better show it around my local area, seeing as I’d seen where IT had come from!
I blooming love my new clutch! And so I should, considering that I pretty much designed it myself! After the factory tour, Mr Tusting took me and friends to an adorable country pub where he let us create our own version of the simple Tusting pouch. I got very excited and went for 3 stripes, all in the most clashing colours of course! It was fun to choose the colours and style of leather from the 15 or so hides that Mr Tusting had carried down to the pub on his shoulder. I fancied the middle bit squishy so went for suede whilst keeping the top and bottom more structured. I also chose the bulls head stamp to be nice and proud and big in the centre on both sides. I loved seeing what the other’s came up with. See how different Charlie’s is here!
Though my clutch is wonderfully colourful, practical, surprisingly roomy and has a gorgeous leather trimmed inside, what I love most is that I know exactly where this was made and how far it travelled. I now know how each bit was constructed or created and I probably even met one of the factory staff who made it! Now isn’t that wonderful?
It’s brilliant to be supporting British factories and design (or generally local wherever you are.) I’m so thrilled to do so that I decided to pepper my clutch’s contents with some recognisably British products – can you spot them?
Perfume – Penhaligon’s / Sweets – Hope and Greenwood / Pencil and Notepad – Liberty

Thank you so much to Tusting for my beautiful bag and to Push PR for taking me there!
