Onthaal aan België!

My past few days have been spent having a wonderful time soaking in the atmosphere and charm of Belgium’s city of Antwerp. I’d never been to Belgium before (save for driving through it in a school trip coach) so I was happy to give the country some deserved attention and spend four days there finding out what all this Belgian waffle fuss was about. I can tell you now, I wouldn’t go there just for waffles even though they are so delightful! There were bicycles and small dogs everywhere, beautiful architecture and the whole city was noticeably easy to navigate/wander around which made it all the more charming.

The reason for my visit? I went with university friends for a very reasonable price and obviously wasn’t going to say no! It was one of those lovely school-trip sorts if trips where I explored in the day with my best friend and then met up with the rest of the ‘class’ in the evening and we all bonded that bit closer – it was very heart-warming! I’d definitely come back to Antwerp as I’m making it my mission to discover every worth-while street and cool shop and to definitely hire a cute bike or hob on a tram – my legs are now paying, I’m all walked out! More pics to come! Have you visited anywhere in Belgium?

I’m glad you like ‘my’ city 😉 I think it’s a wonderful place, I wouldn’t have thought of choosing another city to go to university. It’s nice to see it through the eyes of someone who is only just discovering it, I can probably learn from it!
