Flea Market Musing

Happy Days… Wandering with friends around a Vintage Flea Market…

(I have a thing for Curtain Ties! I love to wear them as necklaces, belts – or just to have them!)

My dad used to breed butterflies – He knows all about them so I thought of him when I saw this. I’m sure he’d love to have it though I’m sure he’d say that he would have kept it in far better condition!

My best friend Carrie is rarely without a hat but didn’t splurge this time!

Anyone else think Guiness tastes like Beer with Pork Scratchings in?!

Outside there’s even more to see!

I’ve been very lucky this summer! All I seem to have done is blogged, worked a bit at Liberty and then gone on lots of lovely spontaneous trips around. Isn’t it lovely to just decide to go somewhere and actually go?! This was my second trip of the summer to.. Somerset! Just in time for my best friends birthday. Kristabel of I Want You to Know joined us in exploring this amazingly huge market in Shepton Mallet. I had been wanting to go ever since seeing Carrie’s stunning video from last year and lucky, due to it being hosted about 7 times a year, I was finally able to trawl the 200+ stalls of very affordable bits and bobs. What’s lovely about this market is there was very little tat. I would gladly be given a whole street of empty houses and use only what was being sold to fill them all beautifully. The homewear visual merchandiser in my came out and kept paring this with that.. luckily I had no money whatsoever so couldn’t fill my already stuffed house with more bits! I would say though, if you’re looking for that piece of furniture, chances are you’ll find it. It’s worth the digging around!
