After Glastonbury festival a couple of weeks ago, I stuck around at my best friends house in Somerset and went for the most marvellous day trips together. I shan’t tell you too much about this seemingly sunny resort (it was a disgusting climate when we arrived and only looked like this at the very end!) as I will do another post on that. I just couldn’t wait to show you this outfit which is now my sea-side attire for life. I was a bit glum that I couldn’t find a shop to find a matching paper bag of sweets. But I did have a fresh donut to make up for it!
The previous day, I had gone to a charming little vintage shop called WooHoo in Shepton Mallet and bought this skirt for just £10. It doesn’t actually fit round my waist but a good scarf fixed that! I love the huge pockets. Thanks Carrie for donating me other bits of clothing and taking these lovely photos! p.s It was so gusty that the majority of oldies along the pier could inform me I was wearing green knickers. Tut tut.
Both us girls tried doing vintage up-dos but the weather saw that they were quickly eradicated. Despite that, we felt quite the outcasts among the elderly population. I like to think we sparked memories in our vintage inspired outfits! Oh yeah.. and this guy? He just wanted to get in the shots and in return kindly called me Sandy.
