Welcome to Covent Gardens best new shopping central – an adorable courtyard tucked away behind Jamie’s Italian, past Jaeger and Cos called St. Martins’ Courtyard! You may well have seen me tweet the hashtag smcgardenparty a lot last weekend, well that was because I was preparing a customised T-shirt for a Bloggers competition which would be paraded at the garden party (I’ll show you it in a future post) as well as being generally excited for the mini festival and to see their music act, Sunday Girl. It was a wonderful day for a garden party with models wandering up and down a grass catwalk showing us what we could treat ourselves to in the courtyard shops.
There were some beautiful pieces from Hoss Intropia and Twenty8Twelve had a jumper I really wanted to snap up for just £40! But there aren’t just clothes shops in the courtyard. There’s also a cool gallery which displayed fun works by Noel Fielding (can’t believe he never showed up – cheeky!), several restaurants including the wonderfully rustic Bills which we were all treated to lunch in, and the stunning Covent Garden Academy of Flowers who created those wonderful colourful sweety plants! We were very well treated so thank you Lauren! Anyone was able to come to the opening which offered activities including face painting, silhouette cutting, magic shows, strawberries, pimm’s, catwalks and 3 performances by the gorgeous Sunday Girl – how beautiful is her outfit?! *sigh* what a lovely day. Do go visit St. Martins Courtyard, there’s so much to see!
