Here I am back in Shepton Mallet, Somerset – the home of my best friend for another blissful summer of adventure! Last year we had an amazing time visiting each others home towns and taking daytrips about in the local area. The activity in question usually involved High Tea (terribleh British you know) and could quite often be described as an ‘Early Granny‘ activity. Oh yes, this time last year, the Early Granny was born… Here we are once again at the Kilver Court gardens entrance in the cafe owned by Mulberry founder Roger Saul. Oh, talking of the man, we just so happened to bump into him… or rather he kindly came out, took our photo, told us we looked marvellous and showed us into the building just opposite. It turned out to be a new development of outlet shops that would only be revealed to the public the next day! We felt terribly honoured to have been shown this secret retail bliss location-to-be. Thank you Roger. And with that off we bounded to the Mulberry factory shop where far too much money was spent.

P.S The adorable bright green Milkshake parlour? Sadly it isn’t a functioning shop, it was created for the BBC reality T.V programme Turn Back Time – did you see it? I reckon me and Carrie should revive the place! Thanks Carrie for most of these photos!
