>Brighton Rocks – Even when it’s Raining!

>It’s Gonna be a Bright, Bright, Bright, Sun-Shiny Day!
Storm Clouds a Rising…
Our Saviour – Make that two Milkshakes Doll!

Coat, Waistcoat and Trousers – Topshop / Mesh top – New Look / Wedges – Faith / Purse – Orla Kiely / Bag – Mulberry

Bet you can’t guess where me and Carrie are?! Oh yes, Sunny Brighton: The scene of the new book adaptation film, Brighton Rocks which is out on Friday. I’ve been seeing the posters around Carnaby street recently and it has very much kindled an excited and nostalgic flame inside me. Aah memories of Brighton, only an hour away from my home and the perfect shopping-fuelled escape destination. It was of course, a perfect place to introduce my Somersetian friend but it turned out to be lacking on the “perfect beach resort” front that I had hoped to impress her with! As you can see, the pictures go through 3 transitions of colour and range of hair frizziness. Despite our bad luck, we did in fact have a splendid time, especially finding this cute 50s diner on the beach front where of course we had Milkshakes! This actually took place last September but I never got the chance to post it. Thank you new film for inspiring me to have a little dig around for these gems! Here’s the trailer to Brighton Rocks remake:

p.s – Me and Carrie realised as we left the house that we represented the mighty condiment duo – Ketchup and Mustard. Perfect!

    >I love your colour combination – gorgeous. Riding a wave of anti-Brighton hostility at the mo though after seeing Brighton Rock this evening. VERY violent and quite horrid – not my cup of tea. Should have watched the trailer.

    >You are looking lovely in sunny Brighton – red and rosé is a great combination and brightens up any rainy day!
Was great meeting you. The evening was real fun!

    >You look amazing, I love all the colours! I've only ever been to Brighton once, luckily it was nice & sunny! But I think it has a really great atmosphere. I'd love to visit again & go to all the quirky shops I missed out on! x

    >Brighton is my absolute favourite place in the world. We go at least once every year for a few days break. There is always so much to do, even when the weather is bad. I've been past that cafe a few times but not been in yet – will make sure to visit next time I'm there (in a couple of months).
